In this day and age, there are billions of e-mails flying around the world every day. At DavesWebdesigning, we don't want you to be missing out which is why all our hosting packages come with e-mail boxes, e-mail redirects, mailgroups and webmail all included. Below are instructions on how to set up and use the various e-mail options that come with your hosting.

• Mailboxes - If you have Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express and want to use one of these programs to send and receive your mail, then you will need to set up a mailbox. Mailboxes are also what you need if you want to use the Online Webmail that is included with your hosting.
• Redirects - If you have an e-mail address you already use and don't really want to change it, then a redirect is what you need. If you want to retain your site's professional look but don't want another e-mail address, then with a redirect, you can set up "user@yourdomainname.com" and have it automatically send all mail straight to your current e-mail address.
• Mailgroups - If you want to e-mail lots of people with the same thing, then mailgroups are here to help. You simply have to add all the e-mail addresses of your group members to the list, then you have one central address that you send a message to and the server does the rest. All members of the group will receive the e-mail you sent.
• Mailing Lists - Mailing lists are a very handy way for you to keep you web site visitors constantly up to date. Basically all you have to do is set up your list in your Hosting Control Panel, then it is just a case of e-mailing certain commands to the mailing list's e-mail address.
• Autoresponders - If you are going away for a while and won't have access to your e-mails, then an autoresponder can be of great help to you. Put simply, an autoresponder will automatically send a reply to all mail sent to your mailbox with a custom message letting people know that you are not available or whatever you wish to say.
• Webmail - If you have a mailbox and you want to check your e-mails on the run, Webmail will make it happen. You will be able to check your mailbox from any computer in the world that has access to the web. It is a handy part of your hosting package.
• Anti-Spam - Our anti-spam engine will help to rid your mailboxes of unruly spam e-mails. You simply have to set a level of sensitivity and your spam will be either tagged or deleted completely.
• POP3/SMPT - It's easy to enjoy the benefits of an e-mail account at your Web address while still using a POP3 client, such as Outlook, to read, send and manage your messages. Simply choose your client from the list below to view setup instructions. Use the following settings when prompted:
• Incoming POP3 server - mail.yourdomainname.com (replace yourdomainname.com with your domain name)
• Outgoing SMTP Server - mail.yourdomainname.com. (You may wish to check with your Internet Service Provider for any restrictions on outgoing mail. Some ISPs require their customers to use their outgoing mail server in these settings.)
